His outstanding pedigree backs his talented and natural athletic ability. He has competed in reining, roping and barrel racing. His stunning looks, gentle disposition, soundness and proven versatility are what everyone wants in a performer. His color is just the icing on the cake!

 

With tremendous excitement we welcomed “Beau” to our ranch in spring of 2020.  Beau is a son of legendary NRHA/AQHA Hall of Famer Hollywood Dun It, whose offspring have surpassed $7.5 million dollars in combined earnings!  NRHA and Equi-Stat rank Hollywood Dun It in 5th place on their list of All-Time Leading Sires of reining horses; he is also the 8th highest-ranking paternal grandsire of reining horses all time.  Hollywood Dun It’s legacy lives on, and we feel so blessed to include a fine son to our breeding program.

Foothills Beau Dunit is an NRHA Money Earner and holds an AQHA Open Performance ROM, earning AQHA points in reining and barrel racing.  After successfully competing in those two disciplines, previous owner, Miles Snider, transitioned Beau into a team roping horse at the age of 6; he worked as a fantastic heading and heeling horse until he was 17 years old.  This guy is the complete package:  super athletic, versatile, gorgeous, kind, and sound at 20+ years old!

Hollywood Dun It is an icon in the reining horse industry, never to be forgotten. Among his own credits are titles such as NRHA Derby Champion, Superstakes Champion, and Futurity Reserve Champion, but his true mark was made in his siring abilities.  His get include many AQHA and NRHA World and Reserve World Champions, as well as Champions of numerous Futurities, Derbies, Superstakes, Breeders Classic, Quarter Horse Congress, even a European Champion, and much more.  Hollywood Dun It's sire is NRHA World Champion/Hall of Famer Hollywood Jac 86.  He was two-time NRHA Non-Pro World Champion and the first stallion to ever become a million-dollar sire.  Today his progeny earnings stand at $1.6+ million.  He sired many World and Reserve World Champion reiners and NRHA Money Earners, and is by World Champion/Hall of Fame Producer Easter King, by the foundation great and AQHA Hall of Fame stallion King (P-234) himself.  Hollywood Dun It's dam, Blossom Berry, was an NRHA money-earner and an AQHA point-earner. She produced 10 foals, and her offspring earnings among her seven performers total $45,664+. 

Foothills Beau Dunit's dam, Freckles Beau, is a proven producer of several money and point earners totaling in excess of $70,000.  She is an own daughter of the legendary cutting horse and outstanding sire Colonel Freckles, who was inducted into AQHA's Hall of Fame in 2004. He was the 1976 NCHA Futurity Champion and had NCHA earnings of $46,305. He produced World and Reserve World Champions, with a total of 416 performing foals who earned 2,720 AQHA Points, 66 Registers of Merit, and combined NCHA/NRHA/NRCHA Earnings in excess of $4 million. In 2019, Western Horseman ranked Colonel Freckles fifth on their list of Top 10 Ranch Horse Bloodlines, highlighting him as the “grandsire or great-grandsire of AQHA champions in roping, versatility ranch horse and all-around competition.  That versatility—a horse’s ability to work a cow, run a reining pattern or work a rope—continues to make Colonel Freckles a sought-after name in a pedigree…. (His) bloodlines show up in every discipline.  They’re pretty horses, and it doesn’t take long to train them.  They’re smart, willing and have a lot of natural cow sense.”  Colonel Freckles was by NCHA Money Earner and World Champion Producer Jewel's Leo Bars (also sire of the AQHA World Champion Cutting Horse Freckles Playboy), and was out of Christy Jay, dam of many NCHA Money Earners and a daughter of Superior Cutting/AQHA Champion Rey JayRey Jay had NCHA Earnings of $20,597, earned 12 AQHA Halter and 261.5 Performance Points, and sired Supreme Champion, Reserve World Champion, Superior Performance, Hall of Fame, AQHA Champion, and many successful NCHA Money Earning Offspring.

We are fortunate to already have several young Beau Dunit offspring entering our broodmare program and we are very pleased with them!  Beau stamps them with all his great attributes; he consistently produces beautiful, athletic, and solid foals with great minds, that are sure to please!
