Rockin in Straw photo in 2009 - 19 years old!

We sadly lost Rockman in 2011. He was out with his ladies and passed peacefully out in pasture May 31. So we're not sure if we'll have any of his foals in 2012, but his son EYE ROCK bred his mares and all 2012 foals will be DNA tested for parentage verification.

"LER Blazin on the Rocks" aka "Meadow"

Rockin in Straw x "Major Sis Laico" AQHA

This is another filly of Rocky's sold down to NY. Out of an AQHA mare. She was a super elegant filly and they are enjoying her there. Photo taken in 2009. This nice filly has received many high points in youth and open classes (halter, pleasure, youth)   CONGRATS Mikailah Donah 

 In 2011, already she is Top Ten in the nation in Open Hunter in Hand Mares,  Youth Hunter in Hand mares, Hunter under saddle and Novice Youth Western Pleasure. CONGRATS!!!!

   Rockin in Straw x Dance for Money

This elegant filly was bought by the Flints from New York in 2008. She is pictured at her first show where she was Res. Champion Mare, and unanimous Longeline winner under 3 judges!   What an accomplishment with a yearling! Congratulations Sara!

 Appaloosa Breeding Program

We breed a few Appaloosa and QH mares to our proven Appaloosa stallion "Rockin in Straw" (his parents are both Champions and parents of Champions) Rocky has sired futurity winners, halter & riding champions, Incentive fund $ earners in halter, western and english disciplines. His pedigree is full of Hall of Fame horses (Romans Straw Man, Hayes Roman Cloud, Top Hat H).  His foals have big hips, pretty heads, smart with great dispositions.

One of his offspring (at right) that has been shown extensively "Rockin Doll" and is a Supreme Member of the Breed (shown at left). 

Rocky can pass on the color too - he had a son with a homozygous coat pattern "Eye Rock" . We are now standing Eye Rock to the same mares his sire bred to carry on the tradition, with color.

Our mares, foals and Appaloosa stallions are reg'd with ApHCC www.appaloosa.ca  and some with ApHC.
